Description

After scouring for interesting podcast sources, I eventually found "Breaking, Entering, and Eating." The story describes several crimes of criminal bears, specifically those committing crimes in Aspen, Colorado. The podcast pinpoints a clear prejudice we have against bears, despite taking up their natural habitat. The moral of the story? Bears love human food, they shouldn't be punished for sniffing it out. I really liked the message of this particular episode, and moved to represent this one within my work. I initially wanted to do Wildlife Preserve colors but, after realizing we were restricted to 3 colors, I stuck with bold red/black/white. I drew on stereotypical criminal wear such as bandanas, ski masks, devil horns/tail to make fun of the "criminal" allegations against these animals.
